Thrivehood – Terms of Service

Welcome to Thrivehood, a platform that helps local teenagers offer neighborhood services and helps customers connect with those teens safely and conveniently. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Thrivehood website, micro-sites, SMS communications, and related services (“Services”). By accessing or using Thrivehood, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Overview of the Thrivehood Service
Thrivehood provides:

A directory and micro-websites for teenagers (“Teen Providers”) offering neighborhood services.

Mechanisms for customers (“Users”) to request those services.

Optional SMS-based messaging tools that allow Users and Teen Providers to communicate while keeping personal phone numbers private.
Thrivehood is not the employer of any Teen Provider and does not guarantee the performance, availability, or safety of any service offered by Teen Providers.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to hire a Teen Provider.
Teen Providers must have parental consent to create an account and offer services.
3. User Accounts
Certain features require creating an account.
You agree to:

Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Be responsible for all activity under your account.
Thrivehood may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. SMS Messaging Terms (Required for TextMagic Compliance)
4.1 Consent to Receive SMS Messages
By entering your phone number on any Thrivehood website or micro-website, or by clicking a “Text Me,” “Request Service,” or similar button, you consent to receive SMS messages from Thrivehood related to:

Your service inquiries,

Service request confirmations,
-
Scheduling,
-
Status updates,
-
Payment or review notifications,
-
Other transactional or support-related communication.
You acknowledge that message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
4.2 Message Frequency
Message frequency will vary based on your activity, but typically includes:

A confirmation message when you submit a service request.

Follow-up messages related to that request.

Occasional updates related to account status or service interactions.
Thrivehood does not send promotional SMS marketing without explicit additional consent.
4.3 Privacy of Phone Numbers
Customer and Teen Provider phone numbers are kept private within the Thrivehood system.
Thrivehood may act as a messaging intermediary, relaying communications without disclosing personal phone numbers.
4.4 Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out of Thrivehood SMS messages at any time by texting:
STOP – to stop receiving messages
HELP – for help or support
After opting out, you may still receive critical account or legal notices as required by law.
4.5 Supported Carriers
Delivery of SMS messages is not guaranteed. Supported carriers may change.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Payment and Fees
Thrivehood may charge service fees for processing, communication, or transactional features.
Teen Providers may also charge their own service rates, which are set independently.
All fees will be disclosed before you complete a transaction.
6. Independent Teen Providers
Teen Providers are independent individuals, not employees, agents, or contractors of Thrivehood.
Thrivehood does not:

Supervise Teen Providers,

Guarantee their skills or background,

Provide insurance for services performed.
Users agree to use good judgment and take appropriate precautions when interacting with Teen Providers.
7. User Responsibilities
Users agree not to:

Misuse Thrivehood’s messaging, data, or communication systems,

Post or submit false, harmful, or misleading information,
-
Engage in harassment, discrimination, or illegal behavior,

Attempt to bypass the platform’s communication protections or privacy tools.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Thrivehood to:

Violate any law or regulation,

Exploit minors,
-
Attempt to harvest data,
-
Interfere with platform security or performance.
Violations may result in termination of access and referral to authorities.
9. Data Collection & Privacy
Thrivehood collects and stores information necessary to provide services, including:

Service requests,

SMS interactions,
-
Payment-related information.
Thrivehood does not sell personal data.
Use of your data is governed by the Thrivehood Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, logos, designs, and code associated with Thrivehood are the property of Thrivehood and may not be copied or used without permission.
Teen Providers retain rights to their own photos, descriptions, and service branding.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Thrivehood provides services “as is” and without warranty.
We do not warrant that:

Services will be uninterrupted or error-free,

SMS messages will always be delivered,

Teen Provider performance will meet expectations.
Use the platform at your own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thrivehood is not liable for:

Any damages resulting from interactions between Users and Teen Providers,

Service disputes,
-
SMS delivery issues,
-
Loss or misuse of data,
-
Any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Thrivehood from:

Claims related to your actions on the platform,

Misuse of messaging tools,
-
Violations of these Terms.
14. Termination
Thrivehood may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for harmful or suspicious activity.
Users may terminate their account at any time by requesting deletion.
15. Changes to These Terms
Thrivehood may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
